A Busy and Exciting Start to 2025 at the Farm!
Share
What a wonderful beginning to 2025 it has been here at Cromer Farm! While the frosty mornings may still linger, we’ve been keeping ourselves busy with preparations and enjoying the quieter charm of winter on the farm.
With lambing season just around the corner, we’ve been dedicating extra time to caring for the sheep, ensuring they’re ready for this exciting (and busy!) time of year. The dogs have also been making the most of the season, joining us for some fun winter sports and bringing plenty of laughter to our days.
On a more somber note, we did experience a setback with our beloved quail after an unexpected security breach left their numbers significantly reduced. Thankfully, they’ve now been relocated to a more secure pen, and we’re planning to expand their flock once the weather warms up. Ingrid the chicken, our unofficial quail guardian, has taken her role as their “mother” very seriously. However, it’s becoming clear that Ingrid needs some feathered friends her own size—something we’ll be working on soon!
Though planting hasn’t yet begun, it’s been a productive time for planning the upcoming growing season. We’ve been clearing out the greenhouse, fine-tuning our plans, and getting everything ready for spring’s arrival. Exciting things are ahead, and we can’t wait to share more with you soon! 🌱🐑
Stay tuned for more updates from the farm as we embrace all that 2025 has to offer! ✨
