The Thrill of Sharing Your Harvest

The Thrill of Sharing Your Harvest

Starting a farm stand has been one of the most exciting and fulfilling adventures I've ever embarked on. What began as a passion for gardening and foraging quickly blossomed into something much bigger—a way to share with my community and create a space where people can connect over fresh, local food.

The thought of sharing my homegrown produce with others was exciting. I imagined people stopping by to pick up fresh tomatoes, crisp lettuce, or a jar of my homemade jam, and it filled me with joy.

Starting small, mostly because I've learnt I'm a long way of becoming a carpenter, I built and painted my small mobile cart. I'm more of a designer and decorator than a builder but that's ok as we have a cute functional stand for now. And so after harvesting some of the fresh apples and cucumbers and baking some sweet treats the Cromer C&C stand was launched.

One of the most enjoyable parts of starting my farm stand was getting creative with the setup. I decided on a rustic look, using wooden crates to display the produce and adding hand sewn bunting to give it a personal touch. I painted the cart with the same Cromer shade of green that is on the gates and building on the farm so it really would fit in. I even started bringing fresh flowers from the garden to decorate the stand, making it a bright and cheerful spot.

I've started bakery Wednesdays so that a variety of cookies, muffins and bread are available on Wednesdays and I'm always changing it up.

I'm so excited to share the fruits of my labor with others, and I can't wait to grow this community!
