Lambing season is right around the corner 🐑

As the days begin to lengthen and the first signs of spring emerge, we’re gearing up for one of the most exciting and rewarding times of the year here at Cromer Farm: lambing season!

Lambing season is a time of both joy and hard work, bringing new life to the farm and a sense of renewal to the countryside. Our flock has been carefully tended throughout the winter, and now the ewes are settling into the lambing pens, ready for their little ones to arrive.

Preparation is key, and we’ve been busy making sure everything is in place. The lambing shed has been cleaned, stocked, and organised, with all the equipment we might need close at hand. We’ve double-checked our supply of bottles, colostrum, heat lamps, and bedding to ensure we’re ready for any surprises that come our way.

Lambing is more than just an event on the calendar; it’s a season of round-the-clock care, dedication, and wonder. There’s nothing quite like witnessing the first steps of a newborn lamb or hearing their soft bleats as they snuggle up to their mothers. It reminds us why we love what we do.
