Apple Cheese that goes with cheese?

Apple Cheese that goes with cheese?

Despite its name, apple cheese contains no dairy. The term 'cheese' refers to its smooth, firm texture, achieved by slowly cooking apples with sugar until they form a dense paste that can be sliced like cheese.

This culinary gem dates back to the days when preserving fruit was essential for surviving long winters. Apples, abundant and versatile, were transformed into apple cheese, offering a sweet and tangy treat long after the harvest season ended.

So, how do you enjoy apple cheese today? Its rich, concentrated apple flavour pairs beautifully with a variety of accompaniments, I've added some smoky chillies for a touch of spice and some warming spices. Serve it alongside sharp cheddar or creamy brie for a delightful contrast on a cheeseboard.
